摘要: Images of clear-cut forests often serve as shorthand for environmental degradation, but such unsustainable overharvest manifests in many other forms including overfishing, enormous bycatch, and overallocation freshwater resources. Although use or harvest initially appears a local disturbance, its effects ripple far from the center destruction, cascading through food-webs ecosystems. Often, these consequences compound are compounded by adverse climate change. Levels resource that sustainable now may not continue to be sustainable, example, can worsen change even increase rate itself.
