摘要: A commercial matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation time-of-flight (MALDI-ToF) instrument equipped with a curved field reflectron (CFR) was modified in order to perform collision-induced dissociation (CID) on variety of biomolecules. The incorporation high-resolution ion gate together collision cell within the field-free region allowed tandem mass analysis (MS/MS), without necessity decelerate precursor ions prior activation. simultaneous detection all product remained possible by using CFR. To test MS/MS performances, ACTH (fragment 1–17), complex high mannose carbohydrate (Man)8(GlcNac)2 and lysophosphatidylcholine lipid (18:1) were analysed instrument. Direct comparison low-energy spectra, acquired MALDI quadrupole trap (QIT) two-stage time-of flight (ReToF) spectrometer, showed significant differences types observed. additional detected clear indication high-energy fragmentation processes occurring cell.
