Spin waves in CuFeO2

摘要: One of the most fascinating frustrated antiferromagnets, CuFeO2, contains stacked hexagonal layers, each with an ↑↑↓↓ magnetic structure. Recent neutron-scattering studies have found that spin-wave spectrum softens increasing field or by substituting Al for Fe. We present a theory excitations fits observed frequencies quite well and explains this softening.
