摘要: The excellent combination of high-temperature strength and lightweight properties makes titanium-base alloys attractive for applications in aircraft engines. However, more hot corrosion titanium is a life-limiting factor, particularly when fly at low altitudes across the sea. In present paper, an attempt has been made to understand degradation mechanism alloy, IMI 834 under conditions elevated temperatures. studies were carried out by determining weight loss different temperatures salts pure Na2SO4, 90% Na2SO4+10% NaCl Na2SO4+5% NaCl+5% V2O5. Subsequently, rate constants evaluated. depth attack due was compared with oxidation data. Finally, alloy that leads mechanical aggressive environments discussed suitable coatings suggested enhance operational life engines effectively preventing both corrosion.
