摘要: The prevalence of epileptic seizures is increased in patients the clinical stages Alzheimer's disease (AD) when compared to age-matched cognitively normal populations. In previously reported work from Presentation Epileptic Seizures Dementia (PrESIDe) study, we identified a suspicion epilepsy between 12.75 and 28.43% with AD recruited memory clinic. EEGs were not performed this study. Patients similarly without on cognitive testing at time recruitment but more impaired two measures everyday functioning [Cambridge Behavioral Inventory-Revised Clinical Rating (CBI-R CDR)]. On repeated 12-month follow-up whom was significantly worse function (p = 0.028) addition maintaining difference informant questionnaires p < 0.001, CDR 0.020). These findings suggest that population could be marker rapid decline prognosis.
