Improving yields in bridging silicon nanowires with rational control of the bridge characteristics

摘要: We present a practical technique for fabricating silicon nanowire bridges on pre-patterned Si electrodes arrays. Silicon nanowires, catalyzed by gold nanoparticles, were grown from HF treated Au colloid as well with poly-L-lysine. Negligible growth was observed untreated substrates due to poor adhesion of nanoparticles the hydrogen terminated surface. In contrast, treatments significantly increased occurrence bridges, which can be attributed improved deposition Deposition time and concentrations colloids also affected SiNW bridges. These results indicate that our techniqute bridge arrays will useful large-area applications.
