摘要: Background: Mice with deletion of Gsα in renin-producing cells (RC/FF mice) have been shown to greatly reduced renin production and lack responsiveness secretion acute stimuli. In addition, young RC/FF mice are hypotensive a vasopressin-resistant concentrating defect. the present study we determined long-term effect on renal function, blood pressure, pathology this low diuretic mouse model. Methods Results: Urine osmolarity was decreased all age groups. GFR measured at 7, 14 20 weeks declined progressively. Single nephron similarly while fractional proximal fluid absorption maintained. Expression levels extracellular matrix proteins (collagen I, IV fibronectin) α-smooth muscle actin were increased kidneys weeks, accompanied by focal segmental glomerulosclerosis periglomerular interstitial fibrosis. showed progressive reduction body weight, an increase urine albumin excretion, pressure aging. Conclusion: A chronic may be risk factor its own right, does not protect function against profibrotic influence chronically elevated flow.
