摘要: The drosophilid Zaprionus indianus was not collected in Brazil, despite on-going collecting, until 1999. Since 1999 this species has become common Brazil. We present data on collections of Z. central since its first occurrence region, with the goal discussing route introduction South America and aspects adaptation to environment. Collections made during a 2-year period show different seasonal distribution patterns insect. In contrast low population sizes registered 1999, summer 2000 large proliferation insect detected. that is more savanna sites peaks wet season. These preferences are discussed, hypothesis should have occurred southeast region continent defended.
