摘要: Although, in the published descriptions of children's creative efforts poetry, many surmises and theories are current concerning conditions affecting poetic productions children, little attempt has been made to measure definitely effect any one factor. It assumed, for instance, that poetry is a flower rooted only rich carefully treated soil where all surrounding favorable. That it could flourish poor, thin poverty-ridden environment considered practically impossible. Yet no an effort prove or disprove correctness assumption. The experiment reported this article, by equating as far possible other factors, attempted leave variable output two groups children. There were eighty-two children each group, with sex age held fairly equivalent intelligence equated on Pressey Intermediate Classification Test Otis Self-administering Tests Mental Ability. In first semester group was combination low-fourth high-fourth grades. second low-fourth-grade pupils became high-fourth-grade remained same teacher, room being filled up from teachers. taught who used books and, so humanly possible, methods. continued full year (1931-32 1932-33) schools, chosen because their radically different environmental conditions. To make sure there had definite former training creating appreciating writer conferred teachers learned earlier acquaintance casual both groups.
