Multicentre, non-interventional study to assess the profile of patients with uncontrolled rhinitis prescribed a novel formulation of azelastine hydrochloride and fluticasone propionate in a single spray in routine clinical practice in the UK

摘要: Objective The aims of this study were (1) to characterise the type patient prescribed MP-AzeFlu (Dymista, a novel formulation azelastine hydrochloride, fluticasone propionate and excipients in single spray) real life UK physicians9 reasons for prescribing it (2) quantify personal societal burden allergic rhinitis (AR) prior prescription. Design, setting participants This multicentre, non-interventional enrolled patients (n=193) with moderate-to-severe AR acute symptoms who eligible receive treatment according its licensed indications. Information was gathered on demographics, history symptom severity, symptomatology treatments previous calendar year (prior prescription). Physicians also recorded number visits, specific these visits their reason MP-AzeFlu. Results Most had seasonal either alone (10.4%) or combination perennial (35.2%), but many unknown origin (35.8%). Prior prescription, reported troublesome (78.2%) sleep disturbance (64.8%), congestion considered most bothersome (54.4%) ocular by 68.4% patients. frequent prescription that other therapies not sufficient past (78.8%) treat (16.1%). 79.3% using ≥2 year.
