摘要: Pathway analysis has been widely used to gain insight into essential mechanisms of the response myocardial infarction (MI). Currently, there exist multiple pathway databases that organize molecular datasets and manually curate maps for biological interpretation at varying forms organization. However, inconsistencies among different in descriptions, frequently due conflicting results literature, can generate incorrect interpretations. Furthermore, although software provides detailed images interactions molecules, it does not exhibit how pathways interact with one another or other processes under specific conditions. We propose a novel method standardize descriptions enriched set genes/proteins using Gene Ontology terms. this examine relationships condition-specific genes/proteins, represented as functional pathway-process network. applied algorithm 613 MI-specific proteins we previously identified. A total 96 from Biocarta, KEGG, Reactome, 448 Biological Processes were these proteins. The Boolean functions processes, delivering an interactive scheme information emphasis on involvement pathways. extracted network focusing MI demonstrate tyrosine phosphorylation Signal Transducer Activator Transcription (STAT) protein, positive regulation collagen metabolic process, coagulation, positive/negative blood coagulation have immediate impacts response. Our organized unbiased approach provide intuitive way identify properties Pathways similar yet diverse indicating variation their ability share characteristics. coverages be expanded incorporation more predicting protein members Further, analyses will allow researchers scientists explore critical routes systems progression disease.
