摘要: Experimental evidence of the existence a bound state ${\mathrm{HeH}}^{2+}$ molecular ion is presented. Bates and Carson predicted 2p\ensuremath{\sigma} in spite strong repulsion potential between two nuclei. Decay expected by an electronic transition to 1s\ensuremath{\sigma} repulsive ground with mean lifetime about 1 nsec kinetic energy release \ensuremath{\sim}7 eV. A novel coincidence technique was developed for measurement metastable ions which dissociate flight before reaching detector. The were produced collisions 900 keV ${\mathrm{HeH}}^{+}$ Ar analyzed within few nanoseconds using small powerful analyzing magnet. coincidences ${\mathrm{H}}^{+}$ ${\mathrm{He}}^{+}$ fragments detected at deflection angle associated indicate clearly that it formed during collision decayed after passing through analyzer. radial distribution hitting detector also measured energy-released dissociation determined. This found be consistent one decay transition.
