Social cognition and interaction training (SCIT) for outpatients with bipolar disorder.

摘要: Introduction: Patients with bipolar disorder show social cognition deficits during both symptomatic and euthymic phases of the illness, partially independent other cognitive dysfunctions current mood. Previous studies in schizophrenia have revealed that is a modifiable domain. Social interaction training (SCIT) an 18-week, manual-based, group treatment designed to improve functioning by way cognition. Method: 37 outpatients DSM-IV-TR schizoaffective disorders were randomly assigned as usual (TAU)þ SCIT (n ¼21) or TAU (n¼ 16). Independent, blind evaluators assessed subjects before after intervention on Face Emotion Identification Task (FEIT), Discrimination (FEDT), Recognition (ER40), Theory Mind (Hinting Task) Hostility Bias (AIHQ). Results: Analysis covariance significant effects for emotion perception, theory mind, depressive symptoms. The showed small within-group decrease AIHQ Blame subscale, moderate Bias, increase scores Hinting Task, ER40, large increases FEDT FEIT. There was no evidence aggressive attributional biases global functioning. Limitation: No follow up assessment conducted, so it unknown whether persist over time. Conclusion: This trial provides preliminary feasible may outpatients.
