摘要: Recordings from small clusters of units within the auditory midbrain Japanese carp, Cyprinus carpio, provide first evidence for tonotopy teleost brain. These findings suggest that place mechanisms frequency coding and tonotopy, previously thought to have evolved in amphibians, may be general ancient features vertebrate system.
