摘要: A modification of the alternating field method measuring ionic mobility in a gas gives an experimental curve showing upper and lower limits to k. From this distribution is derived, which has calculable resolving power.The negative ions dry air shows continuous between 2·15 1·45, with peak value about 1·8.At low pressures current resolved into free electrons. relative numbers reaching electrometer it found that electron makes average number 9·4. 104 collisions before capture, independent strength pressure, therefore speed over range W = 2×105 7×105.
