摘要: Abstract Earth System Models (ESM) are key ingredients of many the climate services that currently being developed and delivered. However, ESMs have more applications than provision services, similarly use sources information ESMs. This discussion paper elaborates on dilemmas evident at interface between in particular: (a) purposes models versus service development, (b) gap spatial temporal scales needed applications, (c) Tailoring model results to real-world applications. A continued broad-minded dialogue ESM developers providers’ communities is improve both optimal direction development development. We put forward considerations this developing order increase mutual benefit enhanced understanding prospects limitations will bring.
