Patient satisfaction and postoperative demands on hospital and community services after day surgery

摘要: This study presents the outcome of a survey patients satisfaction following day surgery and an assessment level contact between community services within first 48 h after discharge from day-surgery unit. A total 953 were provided with self-completion questionnaire surgery; replies received 557 (58.4 per cent). Areas investigated regarding overall outpatient services, admission procedure, preoperative postoperative information, pain relief. The incidence hospital or in operation was also recorded. Overall very high. Only 2.5 cent respondents reported that they had needed to 24 discharge. Contact minimal. 4.3 consulted their general practitioner 1.4 district nurse. For small number who did practitioner, most frequent reason problem management.
