摘要: A technique is described of epidural anaesthesia for electric Caesarean section which has a 98% success rate, and an acceptably low incidence intra-operative pain. The essentials the are to produce maintain complete sensory block from S5 T6, employing two-stage injection bupivacaine 0.5% (mean dose 23 ml) use gravity ensure sacral block. Despite preoperative fluid loading avoidance caval occlusion, transitory hypotension occurred in 16% patients. Vomiting, 18% patients, minor but distressing complication.
