Estimating the bankfull velocity and discharge for rivers using remotely sensed river morphology information

摘要: A method to estimate the bankfull velocity and discharge in rivers that uses morphological variables of river channel, including width, channel slope, meander length was developed tested. Because these can be measured remotely from topographic alignment information derived aerial photos satellite imagery, it is possible state flow estimated for entirely remotely-sensed information. Defining hydraulics would also provide a reference condition remote tracking dynamic stage, quantifying relative change conditions over large regions. This could more efficient inventory quantify hydraulic attributes dynamics.
