摘要: Lung cancer deaths exceed the combined mortality from breast, prostate, and colorectal cancers (1). Every year more than 150,000 Americans die this deadly disease. carcinoma classes include small cell lung carcinomas (SCLC) nonsmall (NSCLC). The distinction of SCLC NSCLC is important as clinical course treatments for two diseases are different. patients initially respond well to chemotherapy, followed by regression tumor. However, in most cases, patient relapses, develops chemoresistance, eventually dies systemic dissemination cancer. In contrast, early stage disease, treatment involves surgical removal primary tumor (resection). 50% those undergo relapse metastasis.
