An empirical analysis of a telehealth system in terms of cost-sharing.

摘要: summaryWe interviewed 348 users of a home telemonitoring system and asked questions about their willingness to pay (WTP). Assuming that the functional form demand was logistic, best estimate WTP ¥4519 per user month. We also analysed how benefits (expressed in terms WTP) were attributed four factors: stabilizing illness; enhancement health consciousness; less anxiety day-to-day life; decrease medical expenditures. All except last significant. According resulting model, individual should bear ¥2763 costs, while society reimburse ¥349. Surprisingly, value obtained here is very close amount (¥2500) actually charged by Kamaishi City.
