摘要: The Edmonston (Ed) strain of measles virus (MV) isolated in primary human kidney cells 1954 has long been thought as a representative MV strain. But this view challenged by wild-type strains marmoset B-lymphoblastoid B95a cells. Although the Ed is not pathogenic monkey models, from patients induces clinical signs typical measles, indicating that retains its pathogenicity. In addition, restricted cell tropism and replicates only some lymphocyte lines. This sharp contrast to ability replicate variety To understand molecular basis for pathogenicity MV, we have established reverse genetics system based on highly (IC-B) By using system, constructed recombinant bearing heterologous envelope hemagglutinin (H) proteins, examined roles H protein determining tropism. Our results clearly indicate determined protein, but also other viral proteins. We thus propose presence another unidentified receptor surface Vero
