A semi-analytical method for vibration analysis of thin spherical shells with elastic boundary conditions

摘要: A semi-analytical method is proposed to analyze both axisymmetric and asymmetric vibrations of thin opened spherical shells with elastic boundary conditions discontinuity in thickness. To establish the governing equation, involved dividing shell into many narrow strips meridional direction, those are approximately treated as conical ones uniform Flugge theory used describe motions displacement functions expanded power series. Artificial springs employed restrain displacements at edges so that arbitrary can be analyzed. By assembling all continuity adjacent conditions, equation established. In numerical results discussion, comparisons frequency parameters present literature firstly presented they illustrate high accuracy wide application method. Furthermore, influences open angle, ratio thickness radius on natural frequencies investigated. Results show meridinoal circumferential have obvious effects frequencies, influence seriously depends location discontinuity.
