Food induced urticaria in children.

摘要: Abstract We conducted a prospective study at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, from June 2001 to November 2003, identify the contribution of food allergy urticaria in children. During period, 100 children with were enrolled, 36 whom had history suspicious allergy. Fifteen patients fever (9 upper respiratory tract infections, 4 diarrhea and 2 skin infections). A prick test (SPT) was positive 15 who suspected having allergy; 5 out SPT group anaphylaxis due (2 cow milk, wheat 1 egg). Six negative challenge (4 open challenges double-blind placebo-controlled [DBPCFC]). The other refused test. parents patient egg test; an oral confirmed diagnosis One 21 that shrimp proven by DBPCFC. Of 64 no related food, done 27 revealed result 7 patients, all 3 DBPCFC). Urticaria found 7% another 4% patients. Severe reactions like may occur. alone is not adequate making it must be Thirty percent did have false SPT. Without allergy, yields only minimal benefit.
