摘要: During the ten years covered by this review, foci of studies in palaeobotany plant megafossils and certain non-palynological microfossils included Precambrian palaeobotany, early vascular plants, Palaeozoic pteridosperms, conifers, angiosperms. Botanically orientated investigations displayed an increasing use electron microscope. Interpretations palaeoecology reproductive biology fossil plants gained momentum. Biostratigraphic underwent some new activation but generally took second place to amount morphological work. The number palaeobotanists who completed or received their training during decade augurs well for future; there is still much be done.
