摘要: Differential survival, growth, and egg production were obtained for the bertha armyworm, Mamestra configurata Wlk., feeding on four natural host plants one artificial diet. Highest among insects reared Foliage of potato was only food which appeared to lack nutritive qualities essential adequate reproduction. Larvae this plant consumed significantly less food, had a poorer accumulated reserves in form tissue developed into smaller pupae, produced adults that fecund than those other foods. Despite these differences, approximate digestibility (AD), efficiency conversion ingested body (ECI), digested substance (ECD) potato, very similar values plants. On each diet linear relationship between consumption growth.
