摘要: Atrial natriuretic hormone is released from the right atrial appendage in response to distention. During cardiac operations usually partially removed or ligated for venous cannulation. To evaluate effect of appendectomy on release and its diuretic responses, we prospectively randomized into two groups 23 patients undergoing elective coronary artery bypass operations. There were 16 male 7 female with a mean age 62 ± years. Group A (n = 11) had removed, group B 12) preserved cannulation done lateral appendage. The comparable sexual distribution, age, number grafts, extracorporeal time.
