摘要: Abstract Aims To better understand the functional role of soluble (Sol) and membrane-bound (MB) cystinyl-aminopeptidase (CysAP) activities, we studied differentially their organ distribution in adult male Wistar–Kyoto (WKY) spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) with or without treatment captopril. We searched for a possible tissue-specific association CysAP water balance blood pressure. Main methods used twenty WKY distributed ten controls captopril-treated, sixteen SHR divided eight captopril-treated. Captopril (100 mg/kg/day) was administered drinking 4 weeks. Systolic pressure, intake diuresis were measured individually. assayed fluorometrically using l -cystine-di-β-naphthylamide as substrate. Key findings Sol MB activities generally higher compared to notably hypothalamus kidney than other tissues. mainly decreased whereas it increased WKY. The more homogeneous among tissues SHR. In contrast, heterogeneous both This suggests that activity acts manner CysAP. majority significant correlations between tissue physiological parameters observed mostly renal medulla hypothalamus. Significance acting separately concert medulla, regulate function susceptible endogenous substrates, may participate meaningfully control pressure fluid balance.
