摘要: A packetized speech multiplexer differs from a circuitswitched TASI system in that the presence of packet buffer allows tradeoff where advantage can be increased at cost delay. This is investigated via simulation. Results are presented to show relations between and delay, for both an average delay criterion maximum criterion. It shown that, particularly case small numbers talkers multiplexed, offers significant improvements over conventional circuit-switched multiplexer, modest costs
