摘要: Beta-catenin forms complexes with Tcf and Lef-1 functions as a transcriptional activator downstream of the Wnt signaling pathway. Activation pathway by stabilization beta-catenin has been shown to be important in development colorectal carcinoma, which is mainly caused inactivating mutations adenomatous polyposis coli tumor suppressor gene or activating exon 3 gene. Here, we analyzed endometrial carcinoma cases loss heterozygosity at locus rarely reported. We found that 10 76 had mutations. All identified were single-base missense on serine/threonine residues (codons 33, 37, 41, 45), altering glycogen synthase kinase-3beta phosphorylation consensus motif, participates degradation beta-catenin. To determine whether these actually led this protein, expression was immunohistochemically, 9 mutation 20 66 without it showed accumulation cytoplasm and/or nucleus. In total, 38% These data indicate due other mechanisms may have an role carcinomas.
