摘要: Abstract Background The fourth-generation human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) combination assay, which can simultaneously detect the presence of anti-HIV antibody and HIV antigen, has been shown to shorten window period in diagnosis compared with third-generation immunoassay. This study was aimed determine performance assays Taiwan, where HIV-1 seroprevalence is 0.007% HIV-2 infection never reported. Methods Performance three Ag/Ab (Dia.Pro, Wantai, Bio-Rad) one Ab immunoassay (AxSYM 1/2 gO) assessed. Results A total 152 specimens, including 86 confirmed HIV-seropositive 66 HIV-seronegative samples, were used study. sensitivity four varied from 98.8% 100%, specificity 98.5% 100%. 75 equivocal status later, terms negative prediction 81.8% 87.5%. Bio-Rad Dia.Pro exhibited higher for detection p24 antigen among assays. Conclusion better sensitivity, specificity, than
