The role of serial angiography in the management of bacterial and fungal intracranial aneurysms--report of two cases and review of the literature.

摘要: The authors review 149 cases of bacterial and mycotic intracranial aneurysms reported since 1957 describe two managed in their institution. overall mortality rate was 39%. Bacterial accounted for 0.49-4.3% all aneurysms. Among the cases, patients treated with antibiotics alone high, whereas it low among those who underwent elective surgery. conclude following: 1) Distal should be high-dose followed serial cerebral angiography at 7 days, 14 1 month, 3 months, year after initiation therapy; 2) proximal antibiotics, surgery is rarely indicated; 3) any significant associated hematoma evacuated aneurysm resected, if possible; 4) shows enlargement an aneurysm, considered. clinical features management are discussed detail.
