Cessation of Exclusive Breastfeeding in Cesarean Section Mothers: Need More Attention

摘要: The global rate of caesarean section which can influence exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) and finally children's health is rising progressively. Assessing the related factors improve this issue. This study evaluated influencing cessation breastfeeding. In cross-sectional study, data were obtained from 114 Cesarean mothers who had formula feeding referred to centers (2013). Chi-square test SPSS-19 used for statistical analysis P-value less than 0.05% was considered as significant. Of participating in 46 (40.4%) aged 20-24 years (26.29 ± 4.04); 43.9% under-graduates or high school graduates; 71.9% unemployed; 56.1% passed their first delivery, 68.4% given birth private hospitals, 63.2% underwent general anesthesia 75.4% no operating room, statistically significant difference noted terms OR type (P Value = 0.591). Breastfeeding 30 minutes after delivery observed 24.56%, time start Value= 0.744). didn’t experience skin contact 57.9%, rooming-in policy not implemented. For 50.9%, relatives main source resolving nursing problems. No relationship found between OR, well feed baby birth. Implementing WHO ten steps, at all hospitals especially ones, supporting young with lower parity, medical consultation address mothers’ issues improving knowledge educated & housewives are also important measures that should be considered.
