摘要: Abstract The behaviour of dipalmitoyl phosphatidylcholine (DPPC)/cholesterol monolayers on pure water and with phenytoin was studied by performing Langmuir monolayer technique experiments. Surface pressure–area isotherms were measured for DPPC, cholesterol films their mixtures. changes the limiting molecular area, collapse pressure maximum compressional modulus show that can modify structure lipid aggregates. introduction to subphase reduces deviations mean areas from additivity rule observed mixed DPPC/cholesterol monolayers. Thermodynamic stability monolayers, as compared determined analysis excess Gibbs free energy mixing. Results indicate an increase thermodynamic increasing surface decrease in presence system. existence a minimum indicates are thermodynamically more stable than separation between individual components, especially around x DPPC  = 0.6, both subphases.
