摘要: Abstract A study of the gas motion through froth a prototype bi-dimensional flotation cell was performed. Using video and image analysis techniques, surface velocity data measured with Visiofroth system were validated by comparing those results estimations from manually tracking bubbles on surface. Images used to track recorded using high-speed camera. In addition, discharge profiles as function height over launder lip for two crowder angles superficial air rates. An increasing level up top observed. Based these results, recovery estimated profile values compared obtained estimation. Results showed differences 24% 47% in when flow area at employed. However, both approaches presented same trend JG angle changed. top-of-froth along location allows recoveries be closer lip. The water flowrate concentrate operational variables stream. good agreement observed velocities measurements measurement point Similar increase value Also, combined effect significant impact recovery. higher obtained. This result favours grade decreasing due entrainment non-valuable fine particles. proper equipment design an optimizing control can improve metallurgical terms mineral grade.
