摘要: As the final touches are being put to LHC detectors, race is on perfect technologies which could be used confront challenges of ultra-high luminosities SLHC and International Linear Collider (ILC). These include ever more hostile radiation environments, short signal shaping times increasing emphasis highest possible granularity combined with lowest mass. In semiconductor detector field, dedicated studies have identified many mechanisms behind damage pointed way towards use new techniques such as MCz silicon p-type sensors. most extreme completely approaches, diamond or 3D sensor will essential. Pixel technology, has been successfully employed build large-scale vertex detection systems for LHC, pushed higher density, lower mass greater integration, satisfy in particular ILC requirements. We review highlights current generation detectors discuss some exciting prospects future developments.
