摘要: In this paper are presented the results of a multinomial logit model used to explain selection port for each shipment exported from US in December 1999. The is estimated combined shipments, and one four commodity types (bulk, foods, fabrics, manufactured). Results compared across commodities find significance distance either direction, frequency sailings, average size vessels sailing along route. estimation do not match those that would be expected. Potential reasons given such variations, with numerous methods by which modelling could improved.
