摘要: It is proposed that Lys-13 of mammalian cytochrome cfacilitates the most efficient electron transfer (ET) pathway to carboxylate terminus alkanethiol self-assembled monolayers (SAM) on gold electrodes. In order confirm ET pathway, reaction rate a rat c mutant (RC9K13A), in which lysine-13 replaced by alanine, measured at 3-mercaptopropionate SAM electrode. The K13A more than six orders magnitude smaller native one. mutant, Ala-13 can no longer facilitate pathway. Based measurements, potential candidate for binding site RC9K13A Lys-8.
