摘要: We report an in situ thermal study of Yb-doped fluorite crystals Yb:CaF2 and Yb:SrF2 under high power pumping, with or without laser operation. The experiment combines simultaneously thermography measurement the aberrations. This setup allows us to measure temperature gradients, lens, absorption coefficients. From these measurements, we evaluate conductivity, fractional load, thermo-optic coefficient. Great differences are observed between lasing non regimes. Our measured lenses greater than what expected from parameters found previous work. Based on this study, design a cavity operating large output TEM00, leading better performances for Yb:SrF2.
