Morphometric analysis and associated land use study of a part of the Dwarkeswar watershed

摘要: In the present study, morphometrc analysis using remote sensing and a GIS techniques have been carried out in upper part of Dwarkeswar Watershed, Bankura Puruliya district, West Bengal. For detailed we used ASTERGDEM data for preparing digital elevation model (DEM), was evaluation basic, linear, areal relief aspects morphometric parameters. Watershed boundary, flow accumulation, direction, length, stream ordering prepared Arc-Hydro Tool. Different thematic maps e.g. orders; drainage density, slope by software. Authors computed almost 20 parameters all which are based on various analyses. The analyses suggest that erosional development area streams has progressed well beyond maturity lithology had an influence development. These studies very useful planning rainwater harvesting watershed management.
