摘要: OBJECTIVE To assess contralateral suppression of transiently evoked otoacoustic emissions in patients with fibromyalgia syndrome and normal hearing. METHODS Twenty-four female 24 healthy controls hearing were assessed using pure tone audiometry emissions. RESULTS All all had on audiometry. In the syndrome, mean emission amplitude was 15.5 +/- 4.8 dB. The amplitudes after 4.9 There no statistically significant difference between measured before (p > 0.05). controls, 12 5 11 4.7 a decrease < 0.01). CONCLUSION mechanisms related to seem dysfunctional syndrome. This dysfunction may be at brain stem level, where medial superior olivary complex is located, or synapses fibres outer hair cells cochlea. Demonstration lack can used as diagnostic tool
