摘要: The interaction between human endothelial cells and leukocytes during immunologic inflammatory responses is in part mediated through the release of soluble mediators. We report that cultured umbilical vein secrete IL-6 when stimulated with LPS. This effect was inhibited by polymyxin-B. monokines IL-1 TNF-alpha were also potent inducers IL-6, whereas lymphotoxin only effective at much higher concentrations. Endothelial cell supernatant active as hybridoma-plasmacytoma growth factor B-cell stimulating factor. activity neutralized a specific anti-IL-6 antibody immunoprecipitation it shown to be identical size fibroblast-derived IL-6. As possibly an important regulator host defense responses, production this cytokine may contribute pathogenesis various diseases.
