摘要: A planar lightwave circuit type variable optical attenuator has waveguides formed on a substrate. The comprises an input waveguide, first coupler, second two arm connecting said coupler to phase shifters placed for controlling difference between light beams propagating trough waveguide with thermooptic effect, and output waveguide. Each of is directional having region in which are brought close proximity each other, length designed be equal integer multiple beat obtained by dividing used wavelength the birefringence.
