摘要: Microcirculatory dysfunction is a critical element of the pathogenesis severe sepsis and septic shock. In this Bench-to-Bedside review, we present: 1) central role microcirculation in pathophysiology sepsis; 2) new translational research techniques vivo video microscopy for assessment microcirculatory flow human subjects; 3) clinical investigations that reported associations between outcome patients; 4) potential novel agents to "rescue" 5) current challenges facing emerging field investigation; 6) framework design future trials aimed determine impact on organ failure patients with sepsis. We specifically focus review vital importance nitric oxide (NO) molecule maintaining homeostasis patency, especially when sustains an insult (as sepsis). also present scientific rationale exogenous NO administration treat augment blood early therapy.
