摘要: Abstract This study aims to elucidate the synergy effects of σ phase and carbide on wear behavior low-carbon (LC) high-carbon (HC) cobalt–chromium–molybdenum (CoCrMo) alloys, by using pin-on-disc tests under Hanks' lubricated conditions. Fractured or torn-off σ-phase precipitates were observed be main reason for abrasion both LC HC alloys. Carbides torn off at initial high contact pressure form pitting; around pitting uprooted led micro cracks, which is considered as surface fatigue alloy.
