摘要: To control defense and cell-death signaling, plants contain an abundance of pathogen recognition receptors such as leucine-rich repeat (LRR) proteins. Here we show that pepper (Capsicum annuum) LRR1 interacts with the pathogenesis-related (PR) protein 4b, PR4b, in yeast planta. PR4b is synthesized endoplasmic reticulum, plasma membrane, secreted to apoplast via membrane. Binding requires chitin-binding domain PR4b. Purified inhibits spore germination mycelial growth plant fungal pathogens. Transient expression triggers hypersensitive cell death. This death compromised by co-expression a negative regulator Nicotiana benthamiana leaves. LRR1/PR4b silencing over-expression Arabidopsis thaliana demonstrated are necessary for responses Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato Hyaloperonospora arabidopsidis (Hpa) infection. The mutant ortholog, pr4, showed enhanced susceptibility Hpa Together, our results suggest functions positive modulator responses. However, activity suppressed interaction LRR1.
