Digital-to-analog converter using a superconducting quantum interference device

摘要: We developed a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) having current output and incorporating superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID). The linearity of the is based on periodic dependence SQUID response magnetic flux coupling to ring. period (Φo = h/2e, where h Planck's constant e elementary charge). Because device's accuracy, essentially linear. DAC was constructed using commercially available rf-SQUID, periodicity which has been experimentally verified below 3420 Φo. An adjustable number amplitudes are dependent maximum (Imax). ∼100 000 different values when Imax ≃1 mA ∼1 000 000 ≃0.1 mA. short-term fluctuation ∼0.15 ppm attributable resolution SQUID. As demonstration, measurements showing voltage digital multimeter were performed.
