摘要: This study characterizes the distribution of two closely related, causative species paralytic shellfish poisoning - Alexandrium fundyense and A. pacificum within Yellow Sea (YS) Bohai (BS). These are distinguished for first time in a regional field using species-specific, quantitative PCR (qPCR) based assays. Both qPCR assays target large subunit ribosomal DNA gene were used to analyze net-concentrated phytoplankton samples collected May 2012. was mainly distributed YS, while confined an area adjacent Changjiang River estuary. The different is interpreted as evidence their distinct bloom ecology. Expanded efforts implementing these offer ability discriminate dynamics blooms provide more sound basis monitoring toxic this region. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
