摘要: Objective To examine mothers’ perceptions of support from fathers over the 1st year after birth a medically fragile infant. Design A descriptive, correlation design based on an ecologic systems view family. It was hypothesized that levels paternal would be influenced by factors within two subsystems: mother-father system (marital status) and child subsystem (health gender). Setting tertiary care children's hospital. Participants Sixty-four mothers term preterm infants, who were married or living with father. Main Outcome Measures The Stress Support Scale assessed maternal helpfulness satisfaction at enrollment, discharge, around 1 age. Results Mothers reported high help enrollment. Married did not differ unmarried in their but more satisfied support. female infants received than male this difference increased time.
