摘要: In science and engineering education, the use of heuristics has been introduced as a way understanding world, to approach problem-solving design. However, important consequences for are that they do not always guarantee correct solution. Learning by Design identified pedagogical strategy can guide individuals properly connect learning via design challenges. Specifically, we focus on effect simulation-enabled experiences student-generated lead solutions problems. A total 318 middle school students were exposed lesson integrated practices in context energy consumption conservation considerations when designing buildings using an educational CAD tool. The pre- posttested before after 2-week long intervention. data analysis procedures combined qualitative with quantitative methods along machine approaches. Our revealed two distinct groups based their achievement: naive developing heuristic group semi-knowledgeable fixated group. Differences between discussed terms performance, well implications computer simulations improve student learning.
